Although Princess Maker 2 was released for DOS, this life sim game was only for Japan. An English translation was planned and got pretty far. However, that was cancelled due to a lack of interest in the market, the market shifting from DOS to Windows by the time the translation was completed, and a couple of bankruptcies along the way. Although the mostly complete English translation was leaked, it wouldn't be until 2016 that the game was finally officially released in English in the form of its remake.

Debug Mode

There are two ways to access this: Digital aviation piper cheyenne.

1. Open up pm2.cnf in any text editor and add the line MOPI = 1. This will enable the debug mode any time the game is run with the line added.
2. During gameplay, go to town. Then, press and hold F12, R, N, and Q simultaneously. After pressing those keys, go back home.

Two options will now be available when you go (back) to town, Mad Eddy's' and the Beta Shop. When the player is in either of these, right-clicking will take the player back, while left-clicking goes to the option selected.

• Internal parameters - See the stats for popularity, visits, internal character stats, etc.
• Event flags - Several of the options aren't translated in the leaked English prototype.
• Event occurrences - How many times the player has encountered certain events.
• Music - Listen to any of the game's music.
• Sound effects - Listen to any of the game's sound effects.
• Skip 1 month - Does exactly what it says. It skips a month in the game.
• Skip 1 year - See above.
• Start demo - Watch a demo of the game.
• Pictures - Change the background portrait.
• Die - The princess dies.
• Flags - The princess's flags.

Beta Shop

• Test - Unknown.
• Fortune Teller - Go to the fortune teller.
• Show faces - See the faces for all of the NPCs.
• Redraw screen - Redraw the screen to clear it of any stuck pixels.
• Show ages - See the princess's various ages, as well as her sick and normal pictures.
• Daughter faces - Cycle through the princess's faces.
• End game - Show the selected ending (see below).
• Show paintings - Cycle through the game's portraits.
• Misc. Tests--> - See a variety of other tests, including the option to see the credits.
• Harvest festival - Participate in the Harvest Festival.
• Set ending.. - Select an ending.

Camera

Open up pm2.cnf in any text editor and add the line CAMERA = 1. This will enable the player to take screenshots by pressing F5 during gameplay.
